In 2008, he batted .292 with three homers and 25 RBIs in 53 games with the Cats. His season ended prematurely when he was hit by a pitch in early August and suffered a broken wrist. Prior to the injury, he played 27 games at shortstop and 26 games at second.
Blair joined the Cats June 3 of last season. He split the 2007 season amongst three teams in the Pirates organization, playing the majority of the season with Hickory in the South Atlantic League, playing in 39 games, batting .228 with a homer and 17 runs batted in.
He spent the entire 2006 season with Hickory, batting .248 with 12 stolen bases in 98 games that year.
Blair played for Williamsport in the New York-Penn League in 2005, his rookie season where he batted .212 in 64 games. He played college baseball at Texas Tech University.
