McCoola spent the past three seasons playing for Sioux City. In 2009 he hit .262 with 39 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 92 games. He drew 70 walks, second most in the league.
In 2008 he played in all 96 games, batting .251 with 35 RBI and 18 doubles.
